The only day athletes get recognized in our school is on ‘Athletes’ Night’, which happens near the end of every school year. All the varsity teams go up on stage while a selected few are given awards such as Rookie of the Year awards, Most Improved Athlete awards, and Most Outstanding Athlete awards.
Tonight, Bela received the Rookie of the Year award for lawn tennis, Trina received the Most Outstanding Athlete award (also for lawn tennis), and I received the Most Outstanding Athlete award (unsurprisingly for lawn tennis as well) and the Athlete of the Year award (for all sports) in the Individual Category.
My sisters and I decided to celebrate our achievements by eating out in Johnny Rockets in Town. I ordered the Cookies & Cream Milkshake and the Rocket Single Burger. They really did a great job with the interior setting. It felt as if we were transported back to the 50’s.
Although as they say, it is not all about appearances. We agreed that the prices were unreasonable for burgers that we thought were only ‘okay’. The burger was not as juicy and as tasty as we expected it to be, but that did not stop us from enjoying ourselves. The waiters and the waitresses would dance after every 4 or 5 songs and we all found it really cute.
Here are pictures of me and my sisters in Johnny Rockets.
